Computers and Wi-Fi
Computers
The library's public computers provide access to the Internet and Microsoft Office programs. There are 16 computers in the Computer Lab with 60-minute sessions. Four Express computers with 20-minute sessions are located by the Information Desk. An adaptive computer station with adjustable table and screen magnification is available near the Information Desk as well. There are six computers in the Children's Department with 60-minute sessions for children under 12 to use.
Computers are available on a first-come, first-served basis to patrons whose library cards are in good standing. All users must agree to and abide by all computer policies and procedures. Your library card number and PIN are required to log on to an available computer. If there are no computers available, use the Reservation Station to reserve the next available computer. The Queue Station will display your approximate wait time. When your computer is available, you have 10 minutes to log on to your assigned computer. You can use any available computer for a maximum of 60 minutes per day.
Library staff can provide basic assistance for getting you started with using the computers. If you require further assistance, please ask the Information Desk staff about upcoming educational opportunities.
All print jobs are sent to the laser printers in the Computer Lab. Black and white printouts are 10 cents each, and color printouts are 50 cents each.
Files saved on any library computer are automatically deleted when you log off or the computer reboots. Floppy disks and flash drives can be purchased at the Information Desk.
