How do I ... ?
Get a library card?
Your mom, dad, or the adult you live with can get you a free library card by asking a librarian. You have to be 16 years old to get a card all by yourself.

Check out stuff?
Choose some things you want and take them to the Check Out Desk at the front of the library. You'll need to have your library card with you. The librarian will give you a receipt that tells you when you have to return your stuff. Or, you can check your stuff out all by yourself at the Self Check machines!

Keep my stuff longer?
We call this renewing your stuff. You can renew your stuff if you need more time and no one else is waiting for it. You can ask a librarian to renew your stuff, or you can even call and ask us to renew it. Just remember to renew your stuff before its overdue. ("Now where is that receipt?") If your stuff is renewed when it's overdue, or if it's returned late, you'll have to pay a fine.

Return my stuff?
The library has two bookdrops. One drop is outside the front doors. It's open all the time, even when the library is closed. The other drop is just inside the front doors. If your stuff doesn't fit in either bookdrop, or your stuff has a problem (like a broken video), you can give it to the librarian at the Check Out Desk.

Win prizes?
Sometimes we have contests and games going on, especially in the summer. Sometimes you can get prizes just for reading. Best of all, its free! Look for signs in the library about our contests and games.

Attend free events, concerts, or programs?
Sometimes singers, musicians, or storytellers come to the library and put on a free show. Sometimes even clowns and animals come, too! Mostly, they come during the summer. We'll put up signs when there is going to be a special event.
